ABOUT DINJA
I’m Dinja Becker, an interior designer in Amsterdam. I design interiors that are bold, luxurious, and full of character—layered, distinctive, and tailored to your lifestyle.
My background is in finance. After earning two master’s degrees and working in the financial sector for a while, I decided to pursue what I’d always wanted: my own design studio. I’ve been designing interiors for 3 years now and have helped more than 60 clients create interiors that are uniquely theirs. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made, because every day I get to work with the most wonderful clients, and that makes me happy.
I work with people who know their home has the potential to be more and who are willing to invest in it. People who want an interior they can walk into with pride every day.
MY METHOD
With my “Dare to Design” method, I challenge you to go beyond safe choices. Most clients know exactly what they like. Where they get stuck is the next step. They hesitate, ultimately choosing the combination that feels safe, and the result ends up being bland. A luxurious interior only comes to life when you dare to choose bold colors, distinctive materials, and layers. We make those choices together, and I take the lead in the process.
I make sure everything comes together: color, materials, custom work, and styling. I create each design specifically for that one home and that one resident, and it has to work well in everyday life, too.
Whether you’ve just bought a new home, are planning a renovation, or want to completely revamp your interior, I tailor my approach to the specific needs of the project. From design to overseeing implementation.
My background in finance still comes in handy every day. Combined with my experience in project management, it ensures that I keep a close eye on planning and the budget just as much as I do on the design. That way, you won’t be faced with any surprises later on.

We’ll start with an introductory meeting, during which I’ll get to know your home, your preferences, and your lifestyle. Then I’ll create the design, which we’ll discuss together and refine further. Depending on the project, I’ll also oversee the ordering and installation processes until everything is in place.
Yes, that’s possible. I tailor my role to the project’s needs. For a renovation, I can handle communication with the contractor and tradespeople, monitor the schedule, and keep an eye on the details until everything is complete.
I work with a network of suppliers and artisans whom I’ve gotten to know over the years. These include specialists in paint, wallpaper, and lighting, as well as craftsmen who create custom furniture and upholstery. I also have contractors with whom I enjoy working. Do you already have a contractor? If so, I’ll coordinate the design and details with him or her.
That’s perfectly normal, and it’s exactly what I’m here to help you with. I’ll show you how colors and materials work together, using samples and images of the design, so you don’t have to guess. I’ll explain why a particular choice is right for your home. That way, you’ll feel confident enough to take risks you wouldn’t on your own, and you’ll be sure the result will turn out well.
That varies by project and depends on the scope, the lead times for custom work and materials, and whether any renovations are involved. During the initial consultation, we’ll discuss your preferences and schedule, and at the start of the project, you’ll receive a clear timeline.
